Alongside my professional development, I’ve made an effort to improve my skills outside of my full time job. I am keen to continue learning and developing my understanding of the games industry, games communities and more.

In March of 2023, I completed Safe In Our World’s RESPOND Mental Health First Aider training to better support my duties in community management. I have experienced poor mental health and have struggled in the past with burnout. I want to make sure I am as well equipped as I can be to support my community at all times.

I am currently a mentee as a part of the Limit Break Mentorship programme 2023. I’m working with a mentor to improve my skills in production, business development, pitching, communicating and more. Their support has been invaluable and I am consistently learning more about myself and my abilities as a result of their amazing guidance. I would love to be able to give similar support to my network and ideally participate as a mentor in the future.

I was asked to be a first round reader for BAFTA’s Young Game Designer competition 2023. I read for the category of game concept aged 10-14, providing feedback and scoring their work to be passed to the next stage of the judging process.
